Ganelon's granddaughter, Rolande's daughter, Lyonette and Benedicte's niece, Imriel and Baudoin and Bernadette's first cousin once-removed. Ysandre inherits the throne of Terre d'Ange and marries Drustan mab Necthana, the Cruarch of Alba. They have two daughters, Sidonie and Alais de la Courcel, who are Imriel's first cousins twice-removed.

Ysandre is half-L'Envers, as her mother is Isabel L'Envers. She has the L'Envers coloring of violet eyes and fair blond hair, as well as a touch of L'Envers cruelty-- House L'Envers is Namarrese with a strain of Kusheline blood.
